Apr 142015

concourseDelegance_2015One of Amelia Island’s biggest annual events comes to town this month. The Concours d’Elegance takes place on March 13-15th at the Ritz Carlton and honors Britain’s motor racing hero Sir Sterling Moss.

We are fortunate enough to have Mark Becker join us to give us a preview of this year’s event. He raced semi-pro motocross as well as Formula Vees and Formula Fords and is an eclectic restorer whose collection spans the spectrum from microcars to full classics, many of which are Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) National Award winners. Mark has restored a number of national-level concours classics. He is a past multi-term President of the local chapter of the BMW Club of America and is currently a Vice-President of the Town & Country Chapter of the National Woodie Club and is a retired high performance driving instructor. Mark practiced law for twenty eight years and was on the Amelia Island Concours Board of Directors for seven years before becoming the Vice Chairman.

Come join us for this exciting EABC meeting Tuesday, March 10 at the Amelia River Golf Club (4477 Buccaneer Trail – Amelia Island, FL 32034) at 6 pm.

The EABC usually meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Amelia River Golf Club. We have to charge $12 admission so we can pay the bills. But the food is included in the cost and is prepared by the club’s chef. There is an open bar serving some of the best wines and liquor and beers. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are also available.

Everyone is invited to our meetings so bring your friends and guest for this fun filled evening of excitement, fellowship and yes, even gain some valuable business connections at the same time.

We look forward to seeing you at the Club! We really do have some great meetings.
