Larry Williams has deep roots in Nassau County and Fernandina Beach, and graduated from Fernandina Beach High School in 1976. Following graduation, Larry joined the United States Navy submarine force and worked for many years in the nuclear engineering field. Following his tour on submarines, Larry became an instructor teaching leadership and management courses to senior naval leadership. After completing his naval service Larry entered the business sector and has extensive business experience in Finance, Mortgage Banking, and Human Resources. Larry applied these skills in the public service sector during the four years with the Florida House of Representatives working with Rep. Adkins. Larry lives in Fernandina Beach with his wife Mindy and daughter McKenna.
He talked about the Nassau Tomorrow program, A five-year, $2 million strategy to create new jobs in Nassau county, expand its economic base, and keep taxes low. The strategy focuses on achieving specific, measurable goals in five areas: business recruitment and marketing; business retention and workforce development; government affairs; communications and public relations; and investor relations.
